The Granite Curling Club hosts several club leagues, including a Monday Open Fun League, Tuesday Open Doubles, a Thursday Men’s League, Friday Modified Mixed, Sunday Beginners, Sunday Juniors, and a Wednesday afternoon Sturling/Stick league. There will be practice ice available for members at specific times at a discounted rate (Schedule on home page). This is on a first-come first-served basis, so you may have to share a sheet on a busy night!
Registration is still open for some leagues for the 2026-2027 season
.Our Sunday Ready to Rock program starts on October 25 - call or email us for details or check the Curling Alberta website to register.
We still have room in our Sunday afternoon Junior Program, for grade 4 up to U18. Players are grouped in age categories and level of development. Call for details or you can register on-line.The first half starts on October 18.
There is also still room in the Sunday Beginners League, which also starts October 18 (evenings). This is for adult beginners of all ages.
The Monday Fun League is full. You might still be able to find a team looking for a fifth or sixth player or an occasional spare if you come out Monday evenings to meet people. Curling starts October 5, so if you come to the club that night and look for any teams playing with three players, that's a clue. Join them upstairs and introduce yourself and before you know it, you might be on a team and become a new member of the Granite! Everyone is welcome.
Tuesday Open Doubles still has room. Call to register and reserve a spot for you and your partner!
Wednesday afternoon Stick/Sturling still has room, but hurry to register - the first game is on October 7! Individual players should call or email the club to inquire and be matched up with a partner. If you already have a partner, you can both go to the website to register as individuals and get matched to your teammate. Call or email us at the club if you have any difficulties getting registered on-line.
We have room for one more team on Thursday night men's, or up to five more teams if we get them in increments of two teams (i.e. to go to 30 teams or 32 teams). You'll probably miss some games at this late juncture, but if we can get it to 28 teams instead of 27, it makes the draw a lot easier. If you can bring 11 friends instead of just 3 teammates, that would get us to 30 teams.
The Friday Night Modified Mixed League is full; the first game was October 2. See Monday Fun League or the Sunday Beginner League for other options to consider. If it's Fridays or bust for you, there could still be some teams willing to consider adding a fifth or sixth player into their rotation. Come on out on a Friday night to check out the vibe and try the drink special of the week - who knows? Maybe you'll find yourself on a curling team when you wake up the next morning!

9 week junior program with in depth training and fun for all
- Beginning October 18th, 2026 we will run 2 sessions, each spanning 9 weeks long.
- Each session will cost only $115 per person + GST
- There will be up to 3 age groups, U12, U15, and U18
- Grades 4 and up
- Each age group will have a slightly different layout to accommodate for age and skill levels.
- Sessions will be on Sundays at 2 - 4 pm
- Bring your friends this is lots of fun!!
